Our story

Paradise Lavender was established in 2015 in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Our company’s activity is manufacturing, processing and sale of essential oils in and outside the country. Continuing our family traditions we successfully develop and grow organic lavender. Our company grows across the region just below the Balkans mountainon on 10 hectares.

Back in 2005 when industrial growing of lavender was already widely observed in Bulgaria, Paradise Lavender’s owners Vanya Hristova and Peter Chukansky opted for growing lavender without usage of chemicals or artificial stimulators and by planting by hand. As a result of these efforts we arrive at one of the purest and high-quality lavender exracts from plants grown in decent climate conditions and well-selected soils in the region.

Paradise Lavender oils and extracts are compliant to internationally-accepted standards in our business and are subject to regular quality tests and checks in international laboratories. Through the years our essential oils have been nominated as one of the best lavender extracts in Bulgaria. Due to the organic growing of the plants, our essential oils are intended even for pharmacutical products for swallowing such as sedatives and sleep drugs or skin topical products.

Vanya Hristova explains that “We harvest 10-15 kg oil per 0.1 hectares of organically-grown lavender fields. The reason for this is the fact that our lavender gets all the natural substances from the soil and the sun helps for receiving natural aromas which on its side is a result of our selection of growing fields. We use only enough sun pounding as the best way of growing and developing the lavender plants”.

Peter Chukansky adds to the story: “As we lacked qualified personnel in the area of organic planting and processing, we had to create own teams and qualify our people by ourselves. Thus we have built strong relationship between all those particpating in the company’s development and the creation of the lavender fields. We are all proud of our own achievements and results.”

Our products are of proven quality

Paradise Lavender works with the German company Serres for organic production and trade.

Paradise Lavender grows mainly “Hemus” and “Sevtopolis” sorts of lavender. In 2022 the company starts its plans for building own destillary for processing of essential-oils plants. In this manner, we will cover the whole process of harvesting organic lavender oil: from planting and growing to processing.

Aiming at total quality-control of our products, Paradise Lavender’s team works with qualified specialists and certified companies from Europe and worldwide essential-oils business.
